A glaze created with JS base recipe, with varying % of Copper, Cobalt, Rutile and Titanium


From left,

  1. 0.5% Cobalt Carbonate added

  2. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate added

  3. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate and 4% Rutile added

  4. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 4% Rutile and 1% Copper Carbonate added

  5. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 4% Rutile and 2% Copper Carbonate added

  6. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 6% Rutile and 2% Copper Carbonate added

  7. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 6% Rutile, 2% Copper Carbonate and 2% Titanium Dioxide added

  8. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 6% Rutile, 2% Copper Carbonate and 4% Titanium Dioxide added All of the above are Medium Cool using Skutt Electric Kiln

  9. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 6% Rutile, 2% Copper Carbonate and 4% Titanium Dioxide added (Slow Cool)

  10. 1.0% Cobalt Carbonate, 6% Rutile, 2% Copper Carbonate and 4% Titanium Dioxide added (Super Slow Cool)

Custar Feldspar 19.8%

Silica 24.3%

Wollastonite 4.5%

Kaolin (Grolleg) 19.8%

Dolomite 9.1%

Talc 4.5%

Frit 3134 18.0%

Base Recipe 100.0%

Bentonite 2.0%
